Virtual Town Hall: Legislative Update and Community Conversation

Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur will provide an overview of his 2026 legislative package, including the status of his key bills focused on public safety, consumer protection, economic development, clean energy, rare disease access, and LGBTQ+ civil rights.

Following the legislative update, Santa Monica Mayor Caroline Torosis will join Asm. Zbur for a conversation about AB 1740, the collaborative legislation designed to create a clear path toward Santa Monica's first certified Local Coastal Program and to expedite bike, pedestrian and transit infrastructure that enhances public access to the coast.
